Late Night Editions is an after-hours museum event series, at both the de Young and Legion of Honor of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, that would center around a special exhibition. Attendees can engage with art in the open galleries, or dance and drink to live DJs.

The audience shaped the look and the feel: the fashionable, energetic, and vibey art lovers of San Francisco.

The original identity of Late Night, which is the annual party FAMSF hosts. As Editions is a spinoff of this event, the two systems have some visual continuity. Editions is still distinctive, as this event is more casual than Late Night.

Final wordmark; Building from the original identity, but pasting on “Editions” with this edgy sticker graphic.

To tie in special exhibitions to the overall identity, textured gradients were animated, drawing inspiration from the exhibitions’ color palette and the rhythm of music.
