This event, held at the Waller Street Skatepark in San Francisco on June 23 2024, is a large-scale DIY workshop where skateboarders can fully build a skateboard and decorate its deck. The communication goal was to connect art and skateboarding together; the system is dynamic and fun, but also meaningful to skate culture.

The concept development kept the DIY spirit. The imagery centers on spray painted and Xerox’d photographs of skateboarders doing tricks (courtesy of Six12 Media) and hand drawn icons. The textures were drawn from the spray paint, printer ink, and the grip tape of my own skateboard.
